I have a Clarion Cd Multichanger in my Peugeot 206. The radio has stopped working and the CD changer wont eject the discs. Is there a manual eject button on the changer to allow me to get the discs out and what could have caused the radio to stop working?

Hi, First check your fuses if they are OK get the 2 removal pins to remove the radio c/d, if you undo the screws on the top of the set you will be able to remove the c.d. without any problems. ( But go for the fuse first).
To add, you will get the removal pins from your local Halfords or auto spares shop.

Fuses are checked an OK as far as I can see. The radio is out at the moment, but I can't see a manual button to allow me to eject the cassette which holds the discs.
With the connecting plug out check if there is feed coming through, if no check inside the radio there are at times a 2amp fuse inside, you say you have the unit out there should be retaining screws to separate the top o the base take the top off you should be able to release the c/d. What caused the loss of the function in the first place? Did your battery run flat ? did you change the battery, try & give some indication of what could have caused it.My wife has the same car but the book does not inform of a eject button. are you sure you have checked the right fuse?

TWR - I checked with the Haynes manual which fuse controls the radio and CD and I think they are OK. I had an issue with the radio not working and then working on a couple of occasions, but didn;t think much about it once it stated to work again. Once it stopped working for good, I took it out. I'll check again to see if I've missed it.
Hi, if that's the case you would be well advised to take the unit to your local auto radio repair shop ( Look in Yellow Pages) alternative, look on EBay if the cost of your own unit is really expensive. you should be able to pick one up under £40.00
