What is my body Type

I have just become the owner of a 1999 BMW 3 series coupe and wish to purchase floor mats for it. Everyone is asking what the body type is (ie E35, E45). Where can I get this info. Can't find it in the handbook. Can anyone help?

Hi, I have a 99 coupe, if you look at your V5 check your cars ID you will find it being a E36, You other Info is under the bonnet or on the N/S Lower Windscreen, regards your mats look on EBay there are several sellers on there.

Again thanks for the help. Couldn't find anything on the V5 though. Will check under the hood later. I agree with Darren, the car is beautiful to drive and I'd rate it the best after driving everything from a Micra to a Cadillac de ville.

Hi Tanjogoe, just a little bit of info, you might at one time have trouble with your heater, A/C going off / on /off /on the problem is a E36 1996>>>> should you have any of theses pr obs go on EBay & type in bmw-climate-repair.co.uk, the price for an exchange unit is �35 (UK) Exchange, it will take you 20 Min's to remove & replace, ( I hope this advise is not against AB rules!!
