I have a 2003 730 D Sport. It is all-singing-all-dancing, but has developed a nasty habit of locking the back doors OPEN!
It has soft door-closers and "convenient opening", but quite often the rear doors just refuse to close.
The latch stays in the locked position, and the door just bounces back at you.
As I don't fancy taking out a second mortgage, I'm trying to avoid going to a BMW garage.
Any ideas anyone???

I am positive that there is a safety sensor within the system. in case of accidental closure of the door in case of fire etc, check your local area for a BM Auto Electrician who will get it on their laptop if they have one to test the circuits.
