Will a scrap yard take a car engine?

I have a car engine which is removed and needs shifting. Would a scrap yard take it or do they only take complete cars? All help appreciated thanks!!!!!!!

Take it to the recycling centre, they have a skip for all scrap including your engine but drop the oil first, & remove the oil filter.

Thanks for that. Just wondered if id get anything for it moneywise from the scrapman.

For the messing about with time,petrol,etc you would be wasting your time, Try ringing them and ask, Myself it would be as I have stated.

You could try one of the motor factors widely advertised in Exchange and Mart. I exchanged my engine there and they are always looking for old engines.

Leave the engine on your drive and within a week the local 'tarmacing caravan pulling people' will take it away for free....
