A school minister who can't spell, and an education minister who can't do his sums.

As a group they also can't run a country.

Well I guess first he went to school with the party leader, then doubtlessly they spent some years trashing restaurants together when they were both up at Oxford...

His excuse, is that he often updates his entries with his mobile phone, which accounts for the typos, but not the spelling mistakes.
Gromit

I'm one of those people who is horribly pedantic about spelling and grammar. I believe I'm from the last generation to be taught what an adverb is, and how not to end a sentence with a preposition.

This story annoys me, because it clearly demonstrates how far standards have fallen.

I sometimes get caught out with typos when I sent posts from my iPod, but a lot of the errors on his blog seem to stem from pure ignorance. There's little excuse for not knowing the whole 'i' before 'e' except after 'c' rule.

Furthermore, combining a pink shirt with a grey suit should now be considered a capital offence.

I bet he can do his sums when he is claiming his expenses for his second home.

I am sure he can add up the cost of a new 40" flat screen TV, a new 3 piece suite, and a new fitted kitchen

It's the old adage of when someone's rubbish at their job, you promote them so that those who can do the job can get on with it properly.

Or to put it another way, those who can, do. Those who can't, teach. Those who can't teach, teach teachers!
