Yes it is a valid ticket and the fine stands.

I always thought that the details had to be accurate for the fine to stand....

Try the Sunday Mirror website.. you might find the car advice chap on there!!
The Gestapo normally take a photo of your car / van in case of denial, regards Knobbsworths answer, I would think twice.
Colour wouldn't invalidate the ticket.

TWR it never fails to amaze me the vilification that wardens get. If you park legally then you don't get booked. You'd soon be moaning that somebody should do something if your driveway was blocked or your street was always full of commuters and shoppers.
Coobeastie, You tell me its right for a Hurse to get booked, for the police to get booked ( YES) booked, A lorry driver who is carrying your food to get booked, there has to be Le-way I can understand what you mean, Where I live a Gestapo was waiting for this person to get out of the car seen her walk off then booked her, You tell me that's right when if they want a good name for themselves he could have just asked her to move on. That's all it takes, A lot of these people are on a ego trip in turn they make a bad name for themselves.
There are undoubtedly some nasty characters working in the industry but the same could be said of any line of business. Could you name another line of work where because of a few bad apples the entire workforce are likened to nazis?

Problem is you never hear the good stories involving traffic wardens because it doesn't sell papers.

How about the one waiting for an hour for a driver to return when they noticed the car door open with the keys in the lock, or the one that ok'd a large number of cars to park in a restricted street for a wake, or the one who help a confused gentleman find his car when he forgot where he'd parked it, or the ones who helped out and contacted the season ticket holders when somebody was going around slashing their tyres...I could go on with positive stories (all of which are true).
