keyless entry on CLK320

Hi,
I have a Mercedes CLK320 02 reg. The keyless entry stopped working so I purchased a new receiver unit from mercedes but I cannot locate the old one and Mercedes want a small fortune to fit the new one!
Can anyone tell me where to locate tho old unit and how to fit the new one? Once thats fitted do the keys have to be re-programmed?

Love to get the answer.
