Ford KA Heater Failure

We have a 52 plate Ford Ka and the heater blower is working intermittently. We had the solenoid replaced about 6 months ago. We can go for miles with the blower on but nothing comes out, then on the odd occasion it kicks in and works, so that means the fuse is ok, also the blower itself is ok. Where do I start tracing a loose wire please?
