I know this may seem a v. riduclous question but im looking at buying a rear bike rack for my A140.
The website i was looking at said they wouldn't recommend fitting them on cars with a rear tailgate. I thought a tailgate was the boot part that lifts up.

so, could anyone tell me what a rear tailgate is?
cheers

aha, it means if it folds DOWN like a pick-up truck would
I think a tailgate is the lifting rear door on a hatchback or estate car. REAR tailgate sounds tautological to me.
