Im doing a 96 mile drive in a Honda Civic 1.6L. Just me in the car, no luggage. How much petrol will i need?

You could do a practice run and see how much fuel you use!
(Fill the car to the maximum so the pump cuts out, do the journey then fill up again and see how much petrol you have to put in to put it up to the maximum again)
