Toad Car Alarm

I have just bought a Fiat Punto Sport and it has a Toad alarm. The back of the remote read CEPT LPD-D, CE 0125, Type EL 433
It has a remote with a green and a black push button. The green one opens and locks the car but I cannot work out what the black push does apart from lighting the LED. Can anyone offer advice?

On mine if I held the black button for a few secs it unlocked the boot. or if i pressed it beofre the green one it sileced the beeps on unlock and lock
