ford escort imobiliser problem

i have a ford escort 1995, there is a loop around the ignition barrel, when the chipped key is inserted and turned the ignition lights come on but the car wont turn over and start, can anyone tell me how to fix this or remove the imobiliser, the car was running fine last night and now i cant go anywhere. cheers xx
