vauxhall cd player

i recently bought a 53 meriva it has a shop bought sony cd player in,it works fine,but i want to buy and fit a proper vauxhall cd player so i can get the proper dash display ive seen them on ebay can i use the single and double din size.and the sellers advertize with code is it as simple as adding the code or does it need to match the imobilizer....??

It shouldn't be a problem, you don't need to match the code to the immobiliser as they are separate systems, if you are converting from double din to single you can get faceplates to fit but not vice versa, the only thing you might have to do if you get a vauxhall stereo is make sure it is configured to your dislay which will either be 8 or 10 digit, this is simply a case of reprogramming the new stereo.
