emmisions warning light on clio

hi jst want to know if ne one else has this problem or have ne answers for me,the orange engine managment in the bottom right corner of my dash keeps coming on flashing every now and again and when it does the car slows and shudders n low gears n looses acceleration i checked up the manual n it said to slow down n get a service i had the car serviced but the problem reoccurs a few days later 3 mechanics have looked at it n cant figure it out one said it could be some sort of coil unit to do wit the spark plugs i drive an 02 renault clio dynamic 1.2 ne suggestions would be much appreciated.

andy more than likely not depending on you millage the fault will be based around the fuel system the engine management system usually gives a warning when the engine is having trouble either with the fuel injection or the release ie exhasut cat more than likely not its dirt in the fuel tank and its cloggin up the fuel pump get some redex fuel cleaner and let it run through the system for a few days if your still having the same problem replace the fuel pump and clean the injectors good rule of thumb every six months run redex through the fuel system just to clean and make sure any **** in the tank doesent run through your pump or injectors hope that helps

with all due respect to the mechanics you saw they must have been ****** hopeless becuase thats a pretty easy fix
