Generally no, unless you gave them a guarantee. If you've bought another and part exchanged yours then as soon as you hand it over and paid for your 'new' car then its unfortunate on them.

YES,we can,if it has broken down in a manner,that is contary to your desciption and condition,ie, if you said the gearbox was fine and it went next day,etc.
