Wax on windscreen

My granddaughters cleaned by car for me and decided to wax it, all of it, including the windows and windscreen. I've managed to get most of it off by washing and using neat windscreen washer, but does anyone know how I can get rid of entirely?

Thanks.

Silly girl or was it you marje?

Go to halfords and get a bottle of rainx, follow the instructions to the letter and be amazed at the difference.

Thanks Toureman, I'll do that. No it wasn't me, definitely the grandkids, bless 'em!
Sorry, but I have to disagree with the previous answer,I used this RainX years ago, and it turned into a nightmare, it creates a coating on the Windscreen to repel the Rain, but it actually creates a film of smear making it difficult to see at night when raining, and once applied its difficult to remove! MYrecommendation is HOLTS SCREENIES exterior windscreen cleaner which is foam based and breaks up oily traffic film available at Halfords and most Auto shops, just spray on leave for seconds, and operate your W/Wiper system. Believe me i use it Regularly and it WORKS!!!!

obviously EAGLES does not follow the directions, good stuff.
Vinegar and water is pretty good or just washing up liquid in water. Try not to get any on your paintwork
Believe it or not, Toothpaste.
It is very mildly abrasive.
I had this problem from a car wash, when I chose the wash & wax option it waxed the screen too! Holts make a stuff called Grime Shifter (was called Mixra) comes in a red/black aerosol. Just spray it onto a damp screen - it's a foam - and operate the wipers. Hey Presto!
Brilliant stuff. I always have some cos after a few hours on the motorway there'll be a film of diesel on the screen. If it rains the smearing can make it quite hard to see, especially after dark. This stuff shifts it in a second.

Thanks everyone, I'll try them. If one doesn't work I'll go on to the next one.

sorry to laugh but (dove covers her mouth hahahaha) dont you just love having help when it takes forever to clear up after x
To solve this problem you have to start at the source, so first of all get rid of your granddaughters!

Hi dove and JK04
I had a chuckle myself (might have been a case of laugh or I'll cry!), poor kids thought they were helping and I don't see any point in being angry with them. I just told them that you don't wax the windscreen, however I don't think I'll be letting them wash the car again, just in case. Can't get rid of them JK, they help me out in other ways and don't usually make me more work.
use t.cut on your screen and it will remove wax
