I'm replacing the tail pipe section on my escorts exhaust, but can't seem to seperate the pipe from the intermediate section. All clamps and mountings have been removed but the two pipes are well and truly stuck together. Any ideas for getting them apart?

they need to be realy heated up.
loads of WD40, then wriggle them. also try heating up the joint. and firm tapping with a hammer to losen the rust in the joint.
once you get a small bit of movement slap some more WD40 on and keep persevering.
a big hammer usually does the job, although a mallet wont damage the pipe too much,
i like to cut some slits in the sice of the pipe coming off using a digrinder then lots of prying and hammering helps too.
Are they stuck together because of rust? In this case, spray something like WD40 or CRC penetrating oils then turn them anticlockwise. To find out more about exhausts visit http://4wheelonline.com/Motorcycle/Motorcycle_Exhausts.171021
