My wife had a crash back in March, now she has a summons for driving without due care or attention. She is thinking of entering a guilty plea via post so she does not have to show up in court, since the crash (which written off both hers and thrid paty cars) was clearly her fault. She has had her licience for about 14 years, and this is her first and only accident, so what is she realistically looking at in terms of fines and points?
Any views/opinions would be helpful, many thanks.

Between 3 to 9 points and a fine depending on her income.
as ethel says,it carries a 3/9 pts penalty with a fine, but if she were to go to court and speak and plead for leniency,it would be far better.
