battery failure alfa romeo car

The battery in my alfa romeo spider failed. I first tried to jump start it without success. I have been told the only solution to the problem is to take it to the local agent who will put it on the computer to find out what the problem is. Apparently it is something to do with the management system in the car. Can anyone suggest an alternative
solution.

If you've tried jumping the battery with no joy, it seems that an Alfa dealer is the only option. The ECUs on them are notoriously tempramental, but hopefully it will just need a system reset rather than anything major. Best of luck!
