HIya,

A Standing order is a set amount and can not be changed over the period agreed and a direct debit is taken monthly quartly or whatever agreed but it is there decision on the amount .. in summary the direct debit is more flexable and give the company the chance to take money if they want where as a standing order can not be changed or moved and is safer security wise and peace of mind
