Peugeot 206 / Kenwood stereo won't store radio stations

I recently put a second hand Kenwood CD / Radio in a Peugeot 206. I used ISO connectors and all wires seem to be intact and well connected yet the stereo seems to have no perminent live (i.e won't remember stations and settings when the ignition is turned off)
