Depends on % of mix. Used to be common to mix 10% petrol with diesel to prevent freezing.
lots of contoversy on this issue. I've put a couple of gallons of petrol into a nearly empty tank on a peugeot 205 diesel and drove 16 miles before filling up the tank with diesel to water the petrol down, no problem. but garages tell you do not even start the engine, get it emptied and refilled with pure diesel. I don't know of anybody who has actually damaged their engine in this way, although the lack of lubricant in the petrol will damage the turbo if fitted.

What car are we talking about? Generally, an old style mechanical pump and injector system will suffer no ill effects; a common rail high pressure system may suffer some seal trouble and running problems, because the fuel won't be of the viscosity the ecu expects.

The turbo won't suffer any problems- it's lubricated by the car's normal oil system and has no connection with the fuel system other than the air that's going in.
