In the early hours of the morning a bottle was thrown at my car and went through the rear screen but instead of shattering completely there is a hole the same size as the missile, and although the remainder of the glass is cubed it still feels solid and not about to fall out. The glass replacement company informed me it would take a few days to get a replacement because of the Easter break and they don't have my cars screen on the shelf -it is an MR2). Would it be possible to drive in this condition, as I need to get to work, or would I be breaking any laws.

Thanks for your replies. It transpires the perpetrator had stolen a bottle of milk, was being chased by the milkman and was getting rid of the evidence. My car just happened to be in the direction of his throw!, but it is a sign of our times that youngsters are like this today. with no thought for their actions.
