I have just bought a used Corsa and the back box on the exhaust has come adrift. I am having it repaired in the morning, but would like to know if this model (1.7) has a catalytic converter fitted.

Forgot to mention, the year is 1997.
Threw the Haynes manual for this year out - last year - damn - If memeory serves correct the catalytic converter is in a stainless steel box a lot closer to the engine - it has to be because they need to run hot.
From the manifold it goed onto the downpipe through the catalytic converter into the front box and then onto the rear box and out. If it is just the back box is gone then you dont need to fit a complete exhaus system - unless it has almost rotted through.
Fairly easy to change unless you get a complete pig of one.
