when i engage reverse the lights dont come on i have tried changing both bulbs but they still dont work can anybody help me.

have you checked the fuse,the fuse box is behind the glove compartment,on the inside of the cover is a diagram of what fuse is what,make sure you put same fuse back in.

If after checking the fuse is ok - it will probably be the reverse light switch on the gearbox that is faulty.
You can check the continuity with a voltmeter.
