Ford Galaxy S Reg 2.3 Auto reversing lights, Not working

I have an S Reg Ford Galaxy 2.3 auto. The reversing lights don't work, i have changed the multifunction switch in the bottom left hand side of the gearbox and they still don't work. it starts as it should in park and netural, the bulbs and holders are fine. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks
