Not good for keeping clean but. What is the best polish to use on this. I usually just wash my car and polish it now and again but I washed it today and it shows all the mucky marks. thanks

Use a product by 3M called hand glaze, that`ll get rid of most miny scratches etc. Then go over it with a regular polish (non abrasive) mer or something like that, now here comes the real treat for the paintwork its a product called mcguires clay bar (halfords sell it) it`ll leave your paintwork smooth as silk and like glass. I know it seems a long drawn out process but it`ll say you a lot of time and hassle in the future
symal polish is the best you can buy

Do Halfords sell symal polish or where else would I get it from
If it shows mucky marks after you have washed it you have not washed it properly.

You must make sure you remove the dirt residue by hosing down properly before you dry it. If you use a leather you must keep rinsing it in clean water.

Black cars look good but they are the hardest colour to clean properly.
im sure i read another one of these questions saturday,
& somebody recommended Merguires polish.(Halfords 7.99)
So i got some for my pearlescent black Astra,
spent several hours polishing it today.
it does look good,
Toureman.
you must live where theres no hosepipe ban- you lucky boy
zymoil, might be symal, its a light blue colour, you can get it from halfords

i have used all the polishes in the world, well most and find this is the best by a mile, it gives the best deep shine and water just rolls of it, and it a natural type wax that smells of coconut and does not dry your hands out
I use one from Poorboys called Nattys Blue.

Its a wax and...although it took me 3 hours to apply and take off...4 weeks on and the car is still gleaming as if its just been polished.

Don't go for the cheapest...I'd probably go for a wax rather than a polish.

That sounds like hard work Spartacus but I am sure it is worth it. It cost me a lot of money and I do take pride in it to keep it looking nice.
You might find some fairly useful info on here...i did;
