dont use easy start too often. its like spray explosives...

if it was starting ok till the weather cooled, try getting the "glow plugs" changed.. not too expensive and an easy job.
:-)
Definitely go for glow plug replacement if you dont know when they were last done. In summer you will hardly notice glow plugs not woking but as soon as winter sets in you will notice.
Surprised damp start does much at all really as no HT ignition to dry out.

If it is starting and then cutting out some time after then you have an LP diesel de-prime. Check the diesel filter ousing cover is seated ok.

Hi holteboy, just have trubble starting once its started its fine, glow plugs have been changed along with fuel filter still haveing probs
Although the glowplugs have been changed, were they tested to ensure that they are taking the specified current ?

Are all the connections clean and tight ? Is the relay in the glowplug circuit working OK ?

Other than that I would suspect a fuelling problem.
i had a problem with a 405 some years ago. where the fuel is drawn up from the tank into the engine bay, it passes through a small pre heater... this was just a small unit that warms the diesel just a little bit to allow the fuel to flow more freely in cold weather.
this unit was faulty and drawing air into the fuel through a broken joint.
could it be a fault on older peugeot`s ?
let the glow plugs go off 3 times (peugeot diesels are known for this) -it will start a lot better
jimmy, as said before don't use easy start except as a last resort. ( if you do have to use it , when you run out get a can of lighter gas instead, does the same job, costs a load less and doesn't have additives to wash the cylinder walls. ) but get the fault fixed is the best option, sorry i can't actually help with the fault but save you cash with the tip.
i bet some one will now say why a small squirt of gas is very bad.
