i have been sent 3 photographs which i requested, after being sent a notice of intended prosecution. for going through a red light at 15 mph. is there any point in questioning this as the picture shows my vehicle half over the stop line when the light is on red. there is no one behind me so i cannot say i had to continue so as not to cause and accident

No point whatsover.

The photo shows you were travelling when the light was red, so just take the punishment and put it behind you.
But if you were half over when it turned to red, you've done nothing wrong. Can you see where you were when it actually changed? Or what colour it was as you crossed the line?
The offence is to cross the stop line on the carriageway against a red traffic signal.

If your pics show that to be the case - plead guilty and save some money.

Forget the I was too close to stop, too fast to stop, being followed, not being followed, urgent appointment, needed a pi**, and so on and on.
