The front windows are electric and randomly decide whether they are going to work or not, the other door sensor related bits i.e. the light work fine. Anyone have an idea on what this could be? It was serviced in June this year and has beena problem for a couple of weeks now.

It is an R reg Peugot 306 (not sure if this is a common problem in these models?).

Thanks in advance :-)

A lot of electric windows stop when they are closing if something blocks them as a safety measure (like a child's arm). My friend had a problem with his where occasionally they would stop because there was grit in the sill surrounding the window. It could just be something as simple as that where the window and surround needs cleaning out.

That sounds about right as the windows are slow at going up and down, and the glass is smeary like there is something down there.

Thanks for you help ;-)
