i have a vw golf mk3 gti 8v, i plan on keepin this car for a long time and will prob do an engine conversion in future, i want some thing a bit special but reliable, dont want to try something thats a risk or is gonna cause me probs in future, an engine that will go in with little hassle that will still raise a few eyebrows.

what you could do is swap your engine with a 1.8t engine they are really reliable engines and they are also very quick

a 2.0 dti engine is best.....
you will have a lot to change from fuel system to electrics

the VR6 but the corrado 2.9 not the golf 2.8- i know its possible on the Mk2 golf as I have a friend who's done it.
