i have had a problem for a while now but its not been very important but its starting to annoy me now. i recently fitted a new stereao in my car and for a while all was ok. but suddenly it stopped working, i also noticed that the clock had also stopped functioning. i have checked the fuses but they were fine, wheat else could be the issue, and how much am i looking to spend!

Hi benocwm1,

When you fitted the radio did you connect the constant live to the clock circuit? if so and you may have a short somewhere along that wire. i.e. maybe it got trapped when you pushed the head unit home or maybe a loose strand of wire in a crimp connection is shorting somewhere.

Cheers,

Jason.

Jason.

yeah sounds plausible. is it likely to cost me a bomb to get it sorted??

Who fitted the stereo? can you not take it back to who fitted it? You say you checked the fuses - were these the inline fuses fitted to the radio or fuses in the cars fuse box.
