Feeling a bit spendthrift I filled my Fazer 600 (51 plate with carbs) with high octane 97 unleaded fuel. It felt ok, performance was only slightly sharper but it could've been down to cost justifiable imagination!! I've now got one mate who is saying that due to the high octane my carbs will need re-jetted! Another mate fills his tank every fourth fill ('97 GSXR 600 srad) with high octane and has never had a problem. Can anybody clarify the pro's and cons of using High Octane fuel with carb motorbikes? Thanks in advance.

Thanks Mdoo, so no need for re-jetting. Thats a weight of my mind, standard unleaded from now on.
