can anyone tell me what position the suspension has to be in to carry out this procedure, as i took it to be done and he told me he could not do citroens because when the engine is switched off ( which it has to be ) it would drop down on to the clamps which they use and damage them thanx

If you put it on the highest setting, doesn't it stay there even with engine switched off, unlike the normal setting where it sinks with the engine off? He's probably tried to do it on a Xantia before and that's what's happened. Don't know what clamps he's on about though.
