Better with a local garage that is recommended by someone who has had good service from them. Don't go to Kwikfit or National as thay work on commission wages and will fit things that you don't need.
For the MOT try and find your local council MOT centre. These are advantageous because they don't repair cars so there is no incentive for them to fail you without a genuine reason.
that price is high imo as a full engine service in gloucester would cost 60 +/- 10
mot should only be 45
so 100 sounds good.
is the car old ?
do not use quick fit, as previous posts have said .there is a tendency to recomened work thet's not needed.look in the local paper for independant garages and try asking neighbours.also the local car spares shop should know someone.

the car is just over 3 years old and does it matter if u dont mot it straight after its 3rd birthday?

its 3rd birthday was in march and i didnt have ne money until now to mot it. Does it matter as long as i mot it?

sorry a certain party you mentioned well moving on quickly are the biggest rip of merchants out. seen the add on telly thats them. local garage is best 150 -200 if its a bmw go north get it done for 120 with rest spend a night in a mud hut. seriously 40 for mot 100 service. try halfords very competitive.

ni its not a bmw its only a fait - 150 would include a mot and service and im based in london.

by the time i travel up north thats time spent on the road and money for fuel - surely that would add up to the same amount?!!!!

At the same time would it be ok if i mot a few months late? does it matter as long as u mot the damn thing.

Hi, not an answer to your question, but get your car MOT's as soon as possible.

Without a valid MOT certificate your insurance is invalid, and should you have an accident/car gets pinched you won't be covered by any insurance, not to mention the trouble you would be in...

Sorry, not meaning to sound harsh here, just want you to get MOT'd...
