Hi. I've just fitted an aftermarket stereo to my alfa romeo 147 1.6 lusso. It's a panasonic cq-c7300n. Went in nice an easy but i need advice on how i can work the steering wheel controls for controling the volume e.t.c. In the same wiring loom that has the factory connection there is a white/grey seperate block connector which i assume is there for the fitment of aftermarket stereos?

Does anyone know what i need and where i can get it - preferably not from alfa direct as the price will be scandalous.

Any help would be much apprieciated. Thanks!

You will need an adapter wiring kit/loom to make the remote controls work, try Halfords but you might have a problem finding the right one for an Alfa.

Alpha won't supply adapters anyway, they don't expect that you'll be swapping the standard head unit out.

First thing to check is that the new head unit will actually accept a remote control input. If it does, Panasonic should make adapter looms for it. I know that certain Pioneer head units will accept remote input, and their adapter looms are about 35.
