parking fine

this morning i got a parking fine. my display ticket expired at 9.20 and i was given the parking ticket/fine at 9.12. i've kept the ticket as proof, but does any know how i can sort this out and not pay?

There is normally an address on the back of the ticket which you should be able to send the stuff of to, Or you could take the stuff there by hand (car) and that way they won't be able to say it must of got lost etc.


If you do send the stuff of, Make sure you photocopy it first.

Have they booked you for failing to display / expired ticket or out of bay?


If you've been done for failing to display then as the others say send in a copy of your ticket. Some councils have a admin fee for these cancellations but normally have photos to back up the penalty.


If its for expiry is it possible that you had another ticket on display.


If its out of bay you may be on a hiding to nothing

Was your ticket clearly visible? I remember reading on the back of one recently that it must be clearly visible or you are liable for a fine.
