MOT and mirror glass

Will may car fail an MOT with cracked glass in the door mirror?

Vandals did it, not my driving by the way !

It's not sharp, can see cleary behind me and probably only a few quid to replace just the glass.

Obligatory mirros are (a) an exterior mirror fitted to the offside, or (b) an exterior mirror fitted to the nearside, or (c) an interior mirror.


ALL passenger vehicles used on or after 01/08/1978 MUST have two mirrors (ie not broken), one of which MUST be option (a).


Basically, if it's the driver's mirror, you'll have to fix it mate

why dont you go to halfords buy a stick on glass mirror for your car,let it pass the mot,then when you have a few bob replace it properly.
as long as it doesnt adversly affect the view behind then ( 1 crack) depending on the mot tester it may be passed and advised
