what car is the cheapest to run when you count all expenditure inc petrol tax insurance etc

I would have thought that any small deisel powered vehicle with a manual gearbox and the minimum of gadgets like no a/c, no p/s but the Daily Telegraph motoring section reckon that this is a pretty good buy if you want a new car, the article is here
