Citroen Saxo - Engine Cut Out

I have a 1997 Citroen Saxo 1.1 sx. As I slowed down to approach a roundabout the engine cut out and all of the ignition lights came on. I started the car up again and off we went with no further problems. I had travelled some 10 miles so the engine was warm. Does anyone know if this is likely to be a reoccurring problem and why this may have happened?

Hi Louise. Is the car in need of a service? Since it cut out whilst slowing down it's probably a fuel delivery problem which could be caused by a dirty fuel filter.

Hi, thanks for your advice, yes I must admit I have neglected servicing it!
