hi i just bought a clio 1.2 a few weeks ago .it had only don 56,000 and i read up on it and found out that the cambelt should be changed when its done around 70,000 but i was plan'n to get it changed at 60,000 but my car beat me too it and it went while i was driving. i was wonder'n as it hasnt lasted it full life span is their some kind of warrenty to fall back on or am i banjackeds.

Is it under warranty or is it too old!


But, as it has not reached the reccomended mileage for the cambelt change you might get Renault to help with the expensive repairs. I have a Renault Laguna and my cambelt has the same mileage before renewing but it also says, or, every five years! and that is when I will get mine done when my mileage will only be about 48,000.

clios need timing belt changes every 72k or 5 years whichever first make sure u get the tensioner changed too
