Mondeo 2lt LX Auto 2000, How do I disconnect my car alarm?

Can anyone give me some advise on how to disconnect my car alarm and imobilizer on my Mondeo? It is factory fitted.

As it's a factory fit item the imobiliser may well be wired through the ignition programme board . In which case I reckon it's only a job the main dealer will be able to do.
