You lot don't know how well off you are, where I live the cheapest s/hand car in just about running order would cost the equivalent of 1,000 pounds - yes one thousand! and a good average salary is about 200 pounds per MONTH.

They are quite a good little car and cheap to insure.

That said I know people who have had real problems with Clios.

For 200 it is probaly a good buy, especially if it has been regularly serviced. Make sure that the oil and filter have been changed every 6000 miles.

I would expect a car of this age to have done over 100 000 miles.

One of my cars is a Rover diesel. It has done 154 000 and is a real gem.

Hi mdoo98, I was not complaining about where I live, I was trying to point out that many of you guys in the ''west'' have many like things like motoring costs really easy compared to many places in the world but you just don't appreciate your blessings or is ''blessings'' not PC these days in the UK.
Make sure it has plenty of MOT left and do a long test drive to check engine, clutch, gearbox, suspension and brakes ok etc. and a mechanics check over if possible, an Mot test is the best way. Otherwise should be cheap enough to warrant a little money spent if necessary.
I have the transporter fully loaded Gapmoc, where do you live?
Sorry I meant qapmoc!
