A match?

Or kitty litter/ sand to mop it up. and then leave windows open. Look on the bright side, the van floor wont rust!

Andy

Same happened to me years ago with a Transit which had a plywood liner. I removed all the ply and chucked it,washed out the back of the van with petrol soaked rag and left the doors open for several hours............didn't work. It had soaked into every crevis and there was a slight smell of diesel even when I sold it.
Sorry can't be more helpful...but good luck.
It isn't that difficult. Assuming you have cleaned up the bulk of it then a good wash out with gunk and/or just hot soapy water will do it, lift out the mat and clean separately it if possible. Finally rinse out and allow to dry. Best done parked slightly up hill.
