Hi there, i recently bought an Escort 1.6, but it has an rs turbo lump in it, also a full cossie kit and interior.
Problem is it wont start, i tried spraying easy start in airbox and it nearly fired, but still havent got that magic running noise!!!! Any advice at all?

Sounds as if there is no fuel getting into the engine but it could just be the easystart dieseling with no ignition. Try a small amount of petrol in the manifolds to see if it then fires, if not then probably an ignition problem.
Assuming conventional ignition, check and dry the inside of the distributor, coil, plug leads then see if there is a spark from the king lead, from the coil. If no spark it could be a faulty lead or coil or wiring, if ok reconnect and check for spark at the plug leads. If no spark at all then it could be a rotor arm or cap earthing.
