I had a top up of AC so I know it's full, but it comes on only in fits and starts. I have to keep holding the button down and even then it'll only work intermittently. It's the old 2007 model C1.

Our C1 in France is also 16 years old, and the switch/button doesn't stay pushed in. I use a bit of folded cardboard to wedge it in. When it's in, the little light shows that all is well. Is your switch like that? I do think that ours needs recharging with something or other, but I can live with it being a bit slow to cool.

It's not working because it's sixteen years old and it's knackered. It's not worth repairing so I suggest leaving the windows open until the car finally completely dies.
The compressor is probably failing. However it might be just a faulty switch.

It's a Citroen...it's not designed to work properly (particularly at that age). I speak from past experience of a new Citroen!

Thanks guys. I can't afford a new car unfortunately WSpa.
I tried that Atheist with cardboard, but the little green light flashes. I might try Halford's?
Dont waste your time and money at Halfords or anywhere else.

Just open the windows as suggested.
