Hubby not heard of this but apparently you need to add it to a seperate filler tank on diesel van, question is how long does 5 litres last for? Does it last longer than full tank of diesel or go by how many miles you do? Thank you

Not every diesel vehicle uses it, only those built after 2015.
There is a guage on your dashboard that will tell you when it's running low. It's normally topped up during the service, in the blue filler next to the black diesel cap.

Range depends both on the size of engine and the capacity of the separate tank.

It does last a fair while though, much longer than a fuel fill.

Rule one though, don't add it through the diesel filler or it's a call-out for the garage or fuel-fixer guy.
Also it works out cheaper to fill up from the pump rather than the tubs
If this is the vehicle you've just hired don't give it a thought unless the warning appears on the dash.
