fuse/sensor No 128

My Ford Galxy has been playing up, not starting on an irregular basis. Yesterday it wouldnt start so I checked the fuses (under the steering wheel) There is a large 'fuse' or 'sensor' or something with the number 128 on it. When i pushed it the car started straight away. What is this and would it make anydifference to car starting or was it just coincidence?
