water level has to be low so top up and look for leak in rad or pipes(probably) this is the easiest thing to check first
ps-- if matrix gone you usually get water in either side of the footwells

water level fine, water appears to be going into bulk head and pipe below is cooler, is this a block ? if so how do you get pipes off and clear ?
sorry for delay- been away.if you can remove pipes under bonnet where they enter b/head get hose jet and keep flushing both ways till running clear. some of those laguna hose fasteners are a so and so to remove, dont break it,but you do need a bit of force. good luck

unable to get pipes of, there are "FUNNY" clips on them, there not push or jubilee clips any idea ?

I tried disconnecting the pipe into the bottom of the overflow resevoir and top of the resovior and flushed for an hour, but no change, but then again if there was no direct pressure on the matrix I wouldnt shift the blockage, help please any idea how to get these strange clips of to disconnect the pipes.

hi again, these clips are hard to remove, imagine pushing the 2 pipes back on, there's a longish piece of plastic like half an arrowhead that goes under a cross piece then pops up the other side to hold them there. soget a flat blade screwdriver and find this "head" about 10mm or so in the centre, b/head end, and push down at the same time pulling the pipes . its like a lot of things, once done its easy, just go for gold , the trouble we used to find was the all summer all winter fluid, that renault recommend unless changed went thickish brown and clogged up fins, saying that i take it all the operating controls are connected ok ? cheers

Thanks rsd before I go for gold, once these clips off how easy are they to get back on ?

Sorry to be a pain, found the arrow head.

easy to replace but be careful not to lose o rings when pulling off, now get as much pressure from a hose as u can switching from one pipe2 the other, you'll get a good idea if your doing any good by the amount of muck that comes out
