My toxic emissions warning light has suddenly come on and refuses to go out - any suggestions as to what is causing that to happen. I am getting rid of the car in 6 - 8 weeks is it vital that I get it in to be looked at ??

I would, not many people would buy the car with the warning light on & you could be damaging the catalytic converter in the exhaust. You dont have to take it into a main dealer as many people believe, any reputable local garage that has the modern diagnostic equipment can check it out for you. Get a price for the diagnostic check first as it can vary. The AA or RAC carry the equipment if you are a member...
